Day Four

Meet my youngest brother Liam. He's three years old, loves a good audience for his antics, and is impossible to take pictures of because he wants to see the image on the back of the camera. As you see, he was already on his way to check out his own picture by the time I got the shot. He also has a head cold right now, which is why he has white cream smeared on and around his nose.

Day Three

Okay, Okay, so it's past midnight and I only made it through two days without screwing up. Oh well. I had a really good reason.

Yep, Ender's Game. A really good book I'd never had a chance to read. I got it in the mail today, from my boyfriend. It was supposed to be a Christmas present but because of how close to Christmas we got home, and how long the postal service (hee, band name. I'm such a geek) delayed it, it just got here today. Anyways, I can't put books down once I start them so I had to finish it before coming up and taking that picture. Which, incidentally, isn't a very good one. Nor are my first two. Hopefully my photo-taking abilities improve soon, or this will be one long year.

Day Two

This is the front door of my house. As the door is open to let in light(we have a glass door too, which is shut), the side you see is actually the outside of the door. It's the exact same front door as a house just down the street. This isn't a coincidence, as that house was designed by the same architect and is actually the same house in mirror image. I assure you from experience that it's really weird to be in that house.

The sign on the door, if you can't read it, says "Please... open door slowly. Baby plays by door." Which is the truth, and a very reasonable request.

Beginnings

I've tried to blog before. I've tried diaries too. They never last long. But I read this idea on a messageboard and I had to try it. Bottom line, I'm going to take a picture every day this year and post it here. No particular theme to the pictures, just any picture at all. That way I'll hopefully use my camera more (even though it is an ancient POS for a digital...), and be keeping some kind of a journal. I guess you might call it a new years' resolution maybe. Whatever. It just sounded like fun.

So. Day one.

This is my foot. My left foot. It's an okay foot, maybe not the prettiest, hence the sock. Which is a sock I got from my parents for Christmas. Let's hear it for getting socks for Christmas, right? I bought the jeans myself.

Place Taken: My room at home
Time Taken: Around 5:30 pm
Reason Taken: I wasn't feeling too creative, the sock is cute, and I thought it was a step in the right direction. Plus, giving myself an opportunity to make that joke was something I had to do. I apologize.
